The core mission of the Al-sunnah – Islamic Educational Centre is to provide valuable services to its large community. More than 1,000 people benefit from the Mosque’s services on a regular basis. We feel honored to be of service to our community.
Prayer services - 5 times a day
Al-Sunnah Mosque has been conducting nikah ceremonies, divorces and conversions since its inception in 2004 which records have been kept in a digital database and there is a charge for obtaining a copy.
We at the Al-Sunnah Mosque see it as an honour to facilitate this blessed union of two souls. Nikah agreement/contract can be conducted on-site at the mosque or our Imam can conduct the nikah at a venue of your choice. We perform the formal marriage service, in conjunction with the Islamic Sharia requirements and documentation.

Often, we are confronted with a situation in which the right choice is not clear, or we simply are not aware of the best ethical decision to make. The Al-Sunnah Mosque offers people opportunities to ask our Imam about these situations and how Islam’s sacred law addresses them.
Thousands of needy families around the world each year receive help from our Charity. Among the most praised kinds of charity is the feeding of the poor. Whenever we relieve the stress of the needy, our wealth never decreases and our rank in the eyes of God increases.
The Al-Sunnah Mosque for the last 12 years has provided week days and weekend education for our children and youth (Age from 5 to 18+ Years) to learn timeless wisdom and gain valuable knowledge that will help achieve a firm understanding of their faith and the ethics and morals it provides them. Over the years, thousands of young boys and girls have learned at the Al-Sunnah Mosque Quranic School.
The Community Centre is a place for our community to hold special events and meetings. The Centre also serves as a safe and wholesome space for our youth to learn, participate in variety of sport activities, and socialize in a dignified manner.
He / She who has decided to embrace the religion of Islam, will need to book an appointment. This is a free service; it usually takes place in the Imam's office and a certificate (as proof of your shahada /conversion) will be issued at the end of the process. The applicant must provide a proof of his/her original ID (passport or full Driving Licence).

For Nikah contracts/ceremonies/agreements conducted outside of the Al-Sunnah Mosque, the certificates can be certified/endorsed by our mosque/Centre provided, that they were issued by a recognised mosque or institution in the UK. This has been requested by Consulate General Libya Government Organization – Manchester, UK.
There is a charge of £10 for this service.
For example, Countersigning UK passport applications and photos, or any legal documents, etc.
There is a charge of £15 for this service.
We deal with family problems and marital issues including divorce. It endeavours to resolve problematic issues as best as possible. The service is run by professionals who are well versed in the legal and Islamic wrangling of such issues.
